School Sites
To volunteer in our school sites (In-person):

Trainings and Requirements

Youth Safety Training (YST) is provided by the SREC commission of UCLA free of charge. YST trainings are meant to be sensitivity training on interacting with minors at school sites.

Live Scans are provided free of charge by the Latinx/Chicanx for Community Medicine (LCCM) organization through the Pledge Fund. Live Scans are good for your entire duration as an undergraduate students.

Orientation for school sites. Each orientation would go into depth about what to expect in the school site. BLAIDS will go through their presentation, activities, and explain our curriculum to our volunteers. Each orientation is mandatory in order to attend the school site.

Tuberculosis and Immunization clearance is mandatory to volunteer at high school sites in order to ensure that our volunteers are aligned with LAUSD protocol. Once you have completed this requirement, email a copy/screenshot of your results to our volunteer director.

General Trainings will be provided by Project Directors. It is an overlook of BLAIDS's mission statements, BLAIDS's involvement in the community, and the importance of outreach and advocacy of sexual and reproductive health.
